The Sisters of Frida have published research into the impact of COVID-19 on women with disabilities.
A suggested action post COVID 19 to start now to build networks of
disabled people which are inclusive which will help with giving peer
support and information locally as well as online.
The Sisters of Frida report concludes: “We call on the government to seek the input of disabled people’s organisations, including disabled women’s organisations, in all policies that impact disabled people. Looking to a post-COVID-19 future, grassroots disabled people’s organisations DDPOs need to be funded and capacity built so that they can work co-productively with their councils and MPs to prepare for emergencies.”
